The sound of an explosion was heard in the western parts of Kabul city few minutes earlier.

Kabul security commandment spokesman Hashmat Stanikzai confirmed the incident but said there are no reports available regarding the type of the explosion and possible casualties.
Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish also confirmed the incident and said the explosion has taken place due to a suicide attack.
However, the Ministry of Public Health officials are saying that the dead bodies of at least 25 people have been shifted to the hospitals along with at least 35 others who have sustained injuries.
A security source had earlier said at least 14 people have been killed and more than 20 others have sustained injuries in the attack.
