Afghanistan, Palestine ‘Ready’ For Friendly Match
The Afghan national football team coach, along with his Palestinian counterpart addressed a press conference on Saturday ahead of the friendly match on Sunday between the two teams.

Both coaches said their teams were well prepared for the friendly match – the fourth time that Afghanistan and Palestine will face each other.
Afghanistan and Palestine played each other twice in the 2010 World Cup Qualifiers and once in the Asia Challenge Cup in 2014. Palestine beat Afghanistan in all three matches.
Afghan coach Anosh Dastgir said his team has faced rigorous training sessions recently.
“Palestine has lost five of its last 20 matches and has won the rest. But our team is prepared in terms of quality,” he said.
“We will try to use all our resources for victory in tomorrow’s match,” the Afghan team’s captain Faisal Shaista said.
The Palestinian coach, Noureddine Ould Ali, said his players are ready for the match and that the event will further strengthen ties between the two countries.
“The coach of Afghanistan football team is young. For sure, he is looking for a good result and our players are ready,” Ali said.
“We play on artificial grass football playgrounds therefore we will not have any problem playing on such grounds in Kabul,” said Abdullah Jabbar, captain of the Palestinian team.
The match will be held on Sunday to mark Afghanistan’s Independence Day.
