5 killed as ANA helicopter crashes in Farah

Five people have been killed, including two pilots, after an Afghan National Army (ANA) helicopter crashed as a result of technical issues in the Khaksafid district of western Farah province, an official said on Saturday.
Dadullah Qaneh, a member of provincial council, told the incident took place in Ranng village of the district at 9pm on Friday night.
He said the chopper was heading to Farah from 207th Zafar Military Corps and went down due to technical problems.
But the Taliban claimed the rebels had shot down the chopper. Pajhwok tried to contact 2nd brigade of ANA based in Farah but failed.
