Afghan Beach Soccer Team leaves for Thailand for an international tournament

The Afghan National Beach Soccer Team left Kabul on Sunday to participate in International Beach Soccer Tournament due to kick off in Thailand from 27th September.



The Afghanistan Football Federation in a statement said the International Beach Soccer Tournament will continue until 29th of September in Thailand.
The statement further added that the British Beach Soccer team will also participate in the tournament along with Thailand and Malaysia.
The Afghan team will play its opening match against the British Beach Soccer team on Thursday and would face Malaysia a day after on Friday, the statement added.
According to Afghanistan Football Federation, the Afghan team would face the Beach Soccer team of Thailand during its final match on Saturday.
The Afghan squad includes Shahabuddin Alavi and Mohammad Nawid Afghan as goal keepers while Zainuddin Sharifi, Nader Naderi, Murtaza Rezaye, Hazrat Gul Baran, Murtaza Jafari and Abdullah Abdali will play in the line of defense.
Other players, Abdul Rauf Qaderi, Samiullah Mohammadi, Mahmood Azad, and Ramir Farooq are also included in the squad who play in the line of attack.
