US House speaker visits Kabul

Ryan visited Afghan Special Operations Corps headquarter in Rishkhor and met with President Ashraf Ghani.
In his meeting with the corps commander Bismillah Waziri, the sides talked security measures for the upcoming parliamentary election due to take place in less than two weeks, according to a corps statement.
Ryan emphasized on the importance of Afghan special forces in ensuring security in Afghanistan and the region and praised their performances in the fight against militants.
He said that the US will continue to support Afghanistan in various in areas, including equipping and strengthening its security forces in crackdown on international terrorism.
