President Ashraf Ghani, in a meeting with members and leadership of High Peace Council, reiterated that the advisory board will not parallel High Peace Council.

" President reiterated that the advisory board will not be a parallel organization to HPC, but rather an inclusive board which will advise the government and HPC on issues of national significance including peace," President Ghani said at presidential palace while addressing members of HPC, as cited by Arg twitter account.
The remarks comes days after President Ghani announced that it will establish a country-wide board to advise on peace process and it will select a team to talk to Taliban, afterwards.
The announcement sparked rumors that it will be a parallel to HPC, as their duties are not different
