Afghan parliamentary election: IEC to announce results of some, not all provinces on Friday

AVA- The full preliminary results from the last month’s polls were originally due to be announced on November 10, but the IEC postponed for 23th of the month, citing issues around “filtering and transportation.”
Maleeha Hasan, a member of IEC, said that the results of all provinces cannot be announced on the date due to audit and recount of votes.
It is likely that Friday’s results announcement will cover Panjshir, Daikundi, Parwan, Kunar, Laghman, Farah and Bamyan.
Election watchdogs criticized IEC’s failure to announce preliminary results of the last election.
Yousuf Rashid, head of Free and Fair Election Forum of Afghanistan, said that the IEC is slow in tallying of votes.
