Ghani chairs Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Meeting after Kabul bombing
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani chaired the Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief meeting after the deadly attack in capital Kabul which targeted a gathering of religious scholars in a wedding hall late on Tuesday.
AVA- The Office of the President, ARG Palace, in a statement said the meeting was organized on Wednesday morning during which the national defense and security officials presented their report regarding yesterday’s attack.
No further details have been regarding the contents of the report but ARG Palace said it was concluded to form a joint delegation of presidential palace and Ulemas Council to sympathize with the families of the victims while the Administrative Office of the President and Emergency Committee were instructed to assist with the families of the deceased and wounded people.
In the meantime, the Afghan Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mohammad Sharif Yaftali presented a report regarding the security situation of Malistan and Jaghoori districts of Ghazni province and said the security situation is under the control of the security forces in the two districts and necessary precautions are in place to provide logistics support to the armed forces stationed there.
According to ARG Palace, the meeting also reviewed the security situation of Balkhab and Qarqin districts and the security and defense officials were instructed to pay close attention in provide logistics support to the troops stationed in the two districts.
