As per the statement of the presidential palace, President Ghani arrived in Herat this morning.
The president is set to inaugurate Lapis Lazuli route and meet with merchants, civil and military officials and locals.

The statement also added that once the route is open, Afghan products will be able to reach European markets in less than 2 weeks.
As of now, President Ghani has also inaugurated the Herat Ring Road on his arrival.
