In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 11 clearing operations and carried out 96 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 109 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 2 airstrike on enemies’ positions.

As a result, 46 insurgents were killed, 40 were wounded and 15 others were arrested.
These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Nangarhar, Kapisa, Maidan Wardak, Khost, Ghazni, Oruzgan, Zabul, Farah, Badghis, Herat, Faryab, Nimroz and Helmand provinces.
In these operations, 24 insurgents including a Taliban local commander known as Qari Taj killed, 17 were wounded, 12 were arrested, 3 hideouts and 12 vehicles were destroyed in Khwaja Sabzposh and Qaisar districts of Faryab. 8 insurgents were killed, 3 were wounded , rounds of weapon and ammo, a hideout and IED explosives facility destroyed in Khas Oruzgan district and Oruzgan capital. 6 insurgents were killed and 3 others were wounded in Arghandab district of Zabul. 5 insurgents were killed, 14 were wounded and 2 motorbikes were destroyed in Qarabagh district and Ghazni capital.
Similarly, one insurgent was killed and one other was wounded in Shendand district of Herat. One insurgent was killed, 2 were wounded, 53 IEDs, a depot of weapons and ammunition, IED explosives facility and drug factory destroyed in Balablok district of Farah. One insurgent was killed in Sangen district of Helmand.
Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
