Ghani: If Taliban want to be represented by Pakistan, we will talk with Pakistan
If the Taliban want to be represented by Pakistan, the Afghan government will talk with Pakistan, President Ashraf Ghani said Sunday.

The comments come after Taliban’s repeated rejection of negotiating with the Afghan government, but have held talks with other countries.
“Do you want Pakistan or other neighbouring countries represent you, or you represent yourselves as Afghans? If you want Pakistan to represent you, we will talk with Pakistan,” Ghani said after registering to seek second term in upcoming election expected in July.
Ghani called on the Taliban not to accept Afghans not outsiders interference.
Ghani entered presidential race with Amrullah Saleh and Second Vice President Sarwar Danish as his running mates.
Asked about suggestions of forming an interim government ahead of election, Ghani rejected it as “ridiculous.”
“Afghans will not accept an interim government… we will not accept it for 100 years to come,” Ghani said.
