Six members of the Afghan army were sentenced Saturday to one year in prison for fleeing the battlefield, officials said.
The verdict came following an open trial at military court in the army’s 209 Shaheen Corps headquarter.
A statement from the corps identified the soldiers as Abdul Jamil, company commander, Syed Hussain, Saifur Rahman, Imam Dad, Najibullah and Amanullah.
