Intelligence operatives have busted a five-member group of kidnappers during an operation in central Logar province, the spy service said on Saturday.

AVA- The detainees were identified by the National Directorate of Security (NDS) as Shafiqullah, Abdul Wahid, Taj Mohammad, Hidayatullah and Abdul Khalil.
The detainees planned to abduct a moneychanger from Arian market in Pul-i-Alam, the provincial capital. But they were arrested by the NDS personnel before they could reach their target.
One Kalashnikov, three pistols and a Corolla vehicle were seized by the intelligence operatives. The detainees had confessed to their crime, the NDS claimed.
However, the intelligence agency did not mention the exact time and date of the operation.
