President Ashraf Ghani has dismissed IEC and IECC chiefs
Presidential Palace said Tuesday that in addition to the dismissal of the IEC and IECC chiefs, all commissioners for both commissions have been dismissed
In a decree issued on Tuesday afternoon President Ghani ordered the immediate dismissal of Abdul Badi Sayyad, IEC Chief, and Aziz Aryayee, the IECC Chief. This came after Ghani and his cabinet approved a draft amendment to the election law.
