Unmanned aircraft crashes in Farah, claim residents

An Unmanned Surveillance Vehicle (USV) also known as drone aircraft has crashed in the Pushtrod district of western Farah province on Monday morning, according to local residents.




Abdul Basir, the resident of the Gajgain village, told Pajhwok Afghan News that he witnessed a USV crashed to the ground early in the morning.
A number of other local residents also confirmed the crash of drone aircraft in the area.
Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi said the drone belonged to NATO Resolute Support (RS) Mission in Afghanistan and it was in their control for further investigation.
Police spokesman Muhibullah Muhib rejected the residents’ claim of drone crash.
NATO Resolute Mission has not yet commented about the incident.
