Six people who kidnapped and killed a 10-year-old boy in Kabul have been arrested, Afghanistan's intelligence agency said Tuesday.

The culprits kidnapped their victim, Wasimullah, from Police District 12 of the city before killing him, the National Directorate of Security said in a statement.
The agency said that the culprits were arrested from the same area in a special operation by its forces.
The statement did not make clear the motive behind the attack.
It identified the kidnappers as Mohammad Yar, Rahat Gul, Sifatullah, Rafiullah, Ahmadullah and Syed Hussein.
Separately, NDS special forces arrested two kidnappers, Habibullah and Ahmad Zia, from Police District 5 of the city and freed the victim, the statement said.
Their victim was working at Sarai Shahzada currency market. He was kidnapped from Police District 9 of the city before being taken to Jabal Saraj district in neighbouring Parwan province.
The kidnappers were demanding ransom from his family in return for his release, but the victim was freed by NDS forces without any ransom being given.
