Qatar Talks: U.S., Taliban Officials Working on ‘Draft of Peace Agreement’
The fifth round of the U.S. and the Taliban officials Talks in Qatar are focusing on draft of the peace agreement regarding two issues including withdrawal of foreign forces and preventing Afghanistan from being used against other countries.

Sohail Shahin, the Taliban’s Qatar Office Spokesman said the U.S. and the Taliban representatives had reached into peace agreement on these two issues in their previous round of talks.
He added that in this round of negotiations both sides are discussing on details and nature of draft of the agreement which will clarify a timetable for the U.S. pullout.
Earlier, sources told Ariana News that the Taliban are insisting on the U.S. withdrawal in short space of time while the U.S. officials are suggesting a timeline of three to five yours for complete Afghanistan pullout.
“If foreigners don’t leave Afghanistan and don’t reach into an agreement in this regard, all of the ongoing peace efforts will be failed and talks will not yield results,” a source close the peace negotiations said.
