resident Ashraf Ghani on Wednesday arrived in eastern Kunar province to inaugurate some projects and meet local authorities, an official said.

Presidential spokesman Haroon Chakhansouri told Pajhwok Afghan News that President Ghani at the head of high-level delegation reached Asadabad City, the provincial capital early in the morning.
He said president Ghani would inaugurate the administrative complex for provincial public health department and would lay the foundation stone of a 200-bed hospital during his visit.
Ghani would meet local and military officials, ulema, women, youth and tribal elders in the province.
Governor Abdul Ghani Mosamam said that the president would inaugurate eight reconstruction projects at a cost of 777 million afghanis.
