At least five people were wounded in an explosion triggered by a magnetic Improvised Explosive Device in Herat city.

AVA- According to local security officials, the incident took place later this afternoon in Gordarvaz St. Herat city.
Provincial police spokesman Abdul Ahad Walizada confirmed that a magnetic IED planted in a pickup vehicle went off, leaving at least five people wounded.
No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
Herat is among the relatively calm province in West of Afghanistan but the anti-government armed militants are active in some of its remote districts and often attempt to target government and security institutions and officials.
