A woman was killed and six other civilians were wounded in a mortar attack in northern Faryab province, the 209 Shaheen Military Corps said in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement said that the mortar was fired b insurgents and it landed on a market in Shireen Tagab district of the province.
“A ten-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl are among the wounded,” it said.
No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibly for the mortar attack.
