No justifiable reason to form interim government in Afghanistan: VP Danish
There is no justifiable reason to form an interim government in Afghanistan, Second Vice President Sarwar Danish said on Sunday.

Addressing a ceremony in presidential palace to mark Mujahedeen Victory Day, Danish said that the current government will cover delay to election, which is now scheduled for September.
He said that the election was delayed by the Independent Election Commission due to technical issues, adding the government did not interfere with the decision.
Referring to consultative Loya Jirga on peace which is due to begin tomorrow (Monday), Danish said that the assembly should not be regarded with suspicion. Fifteen of 18 presidential candidates have boycotted the Jirga.
Danish said that previous jirgas in the country had positive results.
Meanwhile, President Ashraf Ghani said country-wide consultations are needed for peace.
“We should listen from across Afghanistan the cost of war, how the quest for peace should be managed, we are a nation of Jirga, we are a nation of consultations, we need country-wide consultations,” Ghani said.
The president emphasized that any peace should be dignified and sustainable and noted that peace cannot be achieved “in one day.”
He also hoped that the upcoming presidential election will be the most transparent election.
