Over 50 Taliban militants killed in clashes, raids
As many as 52 Taliban militants have been killed in clashes and raids in four provinces of Afghanistan, according to officials.

In western Farah province on Sunday, 18 Taliban insurgents including the group's deputy shadow governor and shadow district governor were killed in operations carried out by Afghan intelligence and police and foreign forces, said Mohibullah Mohib, a spokesman for provincial governor. Twenty-five insurgents were injured in the operations, he said.
According to the oficial, 53 drugs and explosives processing factories were completely destroyed in the operations.
Meanwhile in northern Faryab province, Afghan Special Forces backed by coalition air power killed 18 Taliban militants after their convoy was ambushed in Shirin Tagab district. 10 other militants were injured, the provincial police said in a statement.
Four government forces were injured in the clashes, the statement said.
Two men and one woman were injured by militants firing in Khwaja Sabz Posh and Shirin Tagab districts, the statement added.
In eastern Ghazni province, Afghan Special Forces killed three Taliban militants in a raid carried out in Qarabagh district.
Another three Taliban militants were killed in a separate raid in Nawa district of the same province.
In southern Uruzgan province, Afghan Special Forces killed 10 Taliban militants in an operation in capital Trinkot
