10 Captives Freed from Taliban’s Prison in Kunduz

Ten captives were freed from a Taliban prison in northern Kunduz province during a raid by the Afghan army commandos, 217th Pamir corps said in a statement.



According to a statement released on Monday, the Afghan army commandos have conducted an operation while receiving air support in Aqsarai village of Chahar Dara district of the province on Friday afternoon.
The statement said that all of the rescued individuals were civilians.
The Afghan forces have destroyed the Taliban’s prison during the raid, the statement added.
The Taliban militant group has not made a comment about the incident yet.
Kunduz is among the insecure provinces in northern Afghanistan where the Taliban militants are actively operating in a number of its districts.
