Gen. Ahmadi assumes charge of Special Operations Corps of the Afghan military
Major Mohammad Farid Ahmadi formally assumed charge of the Special Operations Corps of the Afghan military in the rank of Lieutenant General.

Some senior defense officials including acting minister of Asadullah Khalid also participated in the change of change of leadership ceremony which was held in Camp Commander earlier today.
Prior to this, MG Ahmadi served as the head of the Joint Special Operations Centre for one year. His military training/education started from military high school.
MG Ahmad earned his Master’s degree in Military Sciences from the Parachute Commando University of Russia. He attained his Staff Officer education in an academy in America.
He obtained his second Master’s degree in International Relations, International Security and Strategy from London’s Royal College.
He also completed his Strategic Defense Studies at the Royal College of Defense Studies. The military assignments of MG Ahmadi ranged from platoon commander to currently commanding Special Operations Corps – Commando
