The new Commander of Special Operations Corps of the Afghan military Lt. Gen. Fareed Ahmadi has called on Taliban to refrain from violence and have mercy on their families.

“I’m warning the Taliban fighters. Do not kill yourself for no reason. Have mercy on your families. Don’t listen to your Taliban leaders who sit under the flags of other countries,” Lt. Gen. Ahmadi said after assuming charge of the Special Operations Corps.
Lt. Gen. Ahmadi further added “I warn foreign terrorists. Leave Afghanistan or this will be your graveyard.”
In other parts of his speech, Gen. Ahmadi said “Together we will change the trend of war to peace in support of the Afghan people.” 
Lt. Gen. Ahmadi was serving as head of the Joint Special Operations Centre before assuming charge as Special Operations Corps earlier today.
He has obtained Master’s degrees in Military Sciences from the Parachute Commando University of Russia from London’s Royal College and International Relations and has completed his Strategic Defense Studies at the Royal College of Defense Studies
