Pentagon awards $209.9m contract in support of C-130H fleet of the Afghan Air Force
Pentagon has awarded a new contract to a U.S.-based firm in support of the Afghan Air Force’s C-130H aircraft fleet.

The Department of Defense said in a statement that it has awarded the contract to AAR Supply Chain Inc.
The statement further added that “AAR Supply Chain Inc., doing business as AAR Defense Systems & Logistics, Wood Dale, Illinois, has been awarded a $209,986,676 ceiling indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for C-130H contractor logistics support for the Afghanistan Air Force.”
Furthermore, the defense department said the contract will provide the Afghanistan Air Force with full C-130H contractor logistics support to include maintenance and repair, as well as on the job training for local Afghan nationals. 
Meanwhile, the defense department said work will be performed Kabul, Afghanistan, and is expected to be completed by Jan. 29, 2025. 
The defense department also added that this contract involves foreign military sales to Afghanistan.
