Afghan forces conduct 112 Joint, Special Ops and 11 airstrikes in past 24 hours: MoD

The Afghan security forces conducted 112 Joint and Special Operations against the militant groups in the past 24 hours.



The Ministry of Defense said in a statement that the security forces conducted 15 joint and 97 special operations or tasks to suppress the militant groups.
Furthermore, the Afghan Air Force conducted 11 airstrikes to support the ground forces.
The statement further added that the security forces conducted the operations in Logar, Helmand, Ghazni, Faryab, Uruzgan, Ghor, Balkh, Kapisa, Zabul, Takhar, Kunar, Nangarhar, Laghman, Herat and Sar-e-Pul provinces.
Meanwhile, the defense ministry said the security forces killed 65 militants during the operations.
Furthermore, the ministry of defense said the security forces also wounded 28 militants during the same operations.
In addition, the security forces arrested a suspected militant during the operations.
The Ministry of Defense also added that the coalition forces also provided support to the Afghan security forces during the operations.
The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the operations so far
