Normal Kabul-Delhi flights to resume as Pakistan reopens airspace to all international flights

The Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority welcomed Pakistan’s move to reopen its airspace to all international flights.



The Civil Aviation Authority in a statement said Pakistan issued a written notification (NOTAM) in this regard at 7:11 pm on Monday.
The statement further added that the Civil Aviation Authority welcomes the government leadership’s efforts to resolve the issue.
The statement also added that the closure of airspace inflicted heavy financial losses on aviation sector.
Furthermore, the Civil Aviation Authority said the Kabul-Delhi flights will resume and flights will resume from eastern route.
Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority said the Kabul-Mumbai flights will also resume as normal.
Pakistan closed its airspace to all international flights following a dog fight with the Indian fighter planes late in February.
The incident took place a day after Indian fighter planes bombed Balakot area of Pakistan.
Indian carried out the airstrike two weeks after a deadly suicide attack claimed the lives of more than 40 soldiers in Kashmir.
