Twenty-five local Afghan soldiers were killed in an attack by Taliban infiltrators in central-eastern Ghazni province last night, officials said Saturday.

The attack by seven Taliban infiltrators happened in a post in Qarabagh district, governor of the district Habibullah said.
The attackers fled the area after the incident, he said.
The Ministry of Defense confirmed the incident and death of nine of soldiers. It said that an investigation was launched into the incident.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
