German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas in a press statement gives details on the NATO Foreign Ministers Meeting about Afghanistan.

Mr. Mass declared that the Foreign Ministers focused on the NATO missions in Afghanistan.

“In Afghanistan, Germany is working to set in motion a political process involving all stakeholders,” he said.

Foreign Minister Maas emphasized that only then would it be possible to seriously consider the further reduction of troops.

“This should be directly linked to political progress and coordinated with the NATO Allies,” he added.
