According to Mr. Feroz, Afghanistan will start convalescent plasma therapy of those infected by the coronavirus soon, with learning from experiences other hard-hit countries to curb the pandemic disease. Convalescent plasma is an antibody-rich product made from blood donated by people who have recovered from the disease caused by the virus.

This comes while official record shows that 933 people have tested positive for the coronavirus across the country, with 112 of them have recovered, and 30 other have died of the disease.

Herat in the west and the capital, Kabul, each with 324 and 284 cases, are the two hard-hit cities in Afghanistan.
