Officials at the Public Health department in Herat province say at least 59 new cases of the coronavirus were registered in the province during the past 24 hours.

The spokesman of Herat Public Health Department, Muhammad Rafiq Sherzai said that 126 suspected samples of the coronavirus were tested in the province’s laboratory which 59 of them confirmed positive.
Sherzai said the new cases include 40 men and 19 women which the number of people infected with the coronavirus in the province reached 630.
According to Sherzai, 154 patients have been recovered and 14 others died of the virus so far.
