Afghan local health officials in Herat province say at least seven new cases of the coronavirus have been registered in the province during the past 24 hours.

The spokesman of Herat Public Health Department, Muhammad Rafiq Sherzai said that 106 suspected samples of the coronavirus have been tested in the laboratory which seven of them confirmed positive in Herat province.
According to him, the new cases include 2 men and 5 women.
It is noteworthy to be mentioned that with the registration of the new cases, the number of people infected with the coronavirus in Herat reaches 901 with 174 recovered patients and 20 death toll.
