Office of National Security Council (ONSC) says 249 Taliban insurgents have been killed during the past week.

The spokesman ONSC, Jawid Faisal said that at least 249 Taliban insurgents have been killed and 138 others wounded during the past week.
He added that nearly 300 civilians were also hurt by the Taliban during the past week.
This comes as the Afghan security forces are now in offensive mode after a presidential decree.
