Turkey and Pakistan to ‘Enhance’ Bilateral Cooperation Against COVID-19
Turkey plans to enhance cooperation to support Pakistan’s efforts to control the spread of the Coronavirus. During a phone call on Monday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan discussed issues ranging from bilateral cooperation to the Karachi plane crash last week.
Erdogan offered condolences for the place crash and reiterated support for Pakistan. The Pakistani leader thanked Turkey for their support that reflected “historic linkages between the two countries to help each other in times of need.”
Turkey has been flying special cargo flights of Turkish Airlines to deliver shipments of medical equipment like surgical masks and protective suits to Pakistan.
