An explosion in Kabul city killed a prominent Afghan writer and his wife while leaving at least four others wounded , the security official said.

Officials in Kabul Police Headquarters said the explosion in Paghman area of Kabul killed Asadullah Walwalji, one of the prominent writers of the country.

The officials further added that the explosion also killed the wife of Walwalji and wounded at least four others.

The four others who sustained injuries also belong to the family of Walwalji, the officials in Kabul Police Headquarters added.

No individual or group including Taliban has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
