Minister Zuhair Discusses MoIC Budget with Ministry of Finance
Kabul (BNA) Acting and Nominee Minister of Information and Culture (MoIC) Mohammad Tahir Zuhair, met with Acting and Nominee Minister of Finance here yesterday and both sides discussed different issues, including MoIC’s budget.
At the outset, Minister Zuhair pointed out to the Ministry of Information and Culture’s budget problems, adding that “We know in the current situation, the priorities of the Afghan government are to fight the coronavirus and its economic and social consequences.
" However, he said the Ministry of Information and Culture has signed a number of agreements, the goods of which have been received and it was needed to pay their amounts. “
Based on the instruction of the President, there are several development projects in the areas of historical monuments of the country that needed to be addressed, and we want the budget cooperation of the Ministry of Finance in these areas.
” The acting minister of finance said that they have made amendments in the national budget, in particular in those areas where consumption was impossible due to outbreak of the coronavirus, adding that much efforts would be paid to address necessary development projects. “
The budget problems can be discussed by both ministry’s technical colleagues, and in the mid-year review of the national budget, we will consider it in terms of financial resources,” he added. At the end of the meeting, it was decided that the technical teams of the two sides meet and discuss the budget needs of the Ministry of Information and Culture.
