Afghan Premier League to Begin in 2 Weeks
The country’s Afghan Premier League to start is 9th season of in two weeks, officials said.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed Monday for government’s financial support to the football league, with government promising to financially back 9th season of these tournaments.
The season is said to begin on September 24, which includes eight teams from eight zones of the Afghanistan.
This year, the league will be held with the support of the President and the Republic of Afghanistan, Tahir Zahir, Minister of Culture and Information told to press.
Rezwan Murad, head of the media and public affairs department of the Office of the First Vice President asked the President and Vice President through media to support Sports, athletes, and champions as much as possible.
The Ministry of information and culture had set an opportunity for the games to take place in the coming weeks.
These matches are scheduled for a live broadcast through Lemar and Tolo TV Channels.
The League will be held with a limited number of spectators, observing health measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Toofan Harirod from the west zone
Shaheen Asmaee from Kabul
Oqaban Hindukush from the central zone
Spinghar Bazan Eastern Zone
Abasin Sape from the east zone
Simorgh Alburz from the north
Mawjhai Amu from the northern zone
De Maiwand Atalan Southern Zone
