A clash between two cricket teams in the Rodato district of eastern Nangarhar province has left one person dead, officials say.

A spokesman for the Nangarhar governor, Attaullah Khogyani, said two local cricket teams had disputed in the Sheikh Ahmad village of Rodat district in Nangarhar, the perpetrator Hasbanullah has killed the opposite team’s player (Zabiullah), killing him on the spot.
According to Khogyani, Hasbanullah fled the area after the incident.
He added, the police reached the area and a search for the killer has begun.
