In a meeting on Monday, the cabinet approved the request of the Ministries of Education and Public Health to reopen public schools from the first to the tenth grades.

The schools are set to reopen in Kabul and the other provinces from Oct. 3 which is the upcoming Saturday.

Schools had already reopened for grades first to twelfth in private schools.
However, public schools had only opened classes eleventh and twelfth grades.
