The vote to remove Russia from the Security Council / United Nations should be dissolved
Following the call of the Russian government as a terrorist and the request of the President of Ukraine to remove this country from the United Nations Security Council, the first deputy permanent representative of Russia in this organization said that this will only be achieved if the United Nations is dissolved and re-established.
Afghan Voice News Agency (AVA), Dmitry Polyansky, the first deputy permanent representative of Russia to the United Nations, in response to the request of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, said that these statements do not need to be investigated: "Naturally, all ordinary people They realize that this scenario will only be possible if the United Nations is dissolved and re-established."
He said: Kiev's task has been to "provoke" the member states of the UN Security Council, which are increasingly tired of the Ukraine issue.
Polyansky said: "Both Zelensky and the representative of Ukraine at the United Nations are wasting their time and claiming from time to time that we [Russia] have no right to this [UN Security Council] seat and after the collapse of the (former) Soviet Union, We have illegally retained this right."
"This claim is completely nonsense, we have explained about it and even the UN officials have provided the necessary explanations."
Previously, the deputy representative of Russia at the United Nations protested against Zelensky's presence at the Security Council meeting on Tuesday without prior consultation.
In his speech, the President of Ukraine asked the United Nations to identify Russia as a "terrorist state" and remove it from the United Nations Security Council. Russia has a permanent membership and veto right in this council.
On February 21, the President of Russia recognized the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics in the Donbas region, criticizing the West's inattention to Moscow's security concerns.
Three days after that, on Thursday (Feb 25), he announced the beginning of a special military operation against Ukraine, and the tense Moscow-Kiev relationship turned into a military confrontation.
