India has resumed sending wheat to Afghanistan

According to Indian officials, in continuation of the country's humanitarian aid and the commitment of 50,000 tons of wheat to Afghanistan, 2,500 tons of wheat have been sent to Afghanistan. In this regard, another 14 thousand tons of wheat will be sent to the country in the coming days. India had previously sent 36,000 tons of aid wheat to Afghanistan through Pakistan.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA), Indian government officials have announced that the country's 15th aid wheat shipment including 2,500 tons has been sent to Afghanistan through Pakistan and another 14,000 tons are expected to be sent in the coming days.
 
Indian officials have added that so far about 36,000 tons of wheat have been sent to Afghanistan and the rest of the pledged aid of 50,000 tons will be sent soon.
 
Indian authorities have recently announced that they have agreed with the government of Pakistan to continue sending wheat donated by this country to Afghanistan through this country, and this wheat is supposed to reach Afghanistan in the next 2 months.
 
India has been one of the important donor countries for Afghanistan in the last two decades.
 
In addition to food aid, this country has had important economic cooperation in various fields, including the establishment of infrastructure, roads and dams to Afghanistan.
