Afghan Voice Agency (AVA), American media have reported, quoting the police officials of this country, that 6 people were killed and 24 others were injured as a result of shooting at the Independence Day parade in the "Highland Illinois" region of America.
Reports indicate that the shooting happened yesterday (Monday, July 4) about 10 minutes after the start of the parade during the ceremony and at 10:00 am local time in the suburbs of Chicago.
After the shooting and disruption of the ceremony, the local police asked the people to leave the area to facilitate the search for the shooters.
The videos published on the internet show that the people present at the ceremony run away in all directions as if hearing the sound of shooting.
The mayor of Highland Park, the area where the shooting happened, Nancy Rothering, tweeted that the Independence Day festival in the area has been completely canceled. He also asked the residents to avoid sightseeing in the central areas of the city.
According to the domestic law of the United States, the citizens of this country have freedom of action in buying and selling weapons. This issue has caused many deadly shooting attacks in this country in recent years.
