Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, The institution acknowledged the shortage of drugs in the cancer treatment sector and said that efforts to provide these drugs are ongoing.
"Every drug seller, wholesaler and every company that sells medicine higher than the price which has already been set for them will be dealt with seriously,” said Abdul Bari, Omar, head of the medicine and food department.
The union of pharmacists said they have talked to officials of the Islamic Emirate about the shortage of medicine in the country.
“Our read on is that principles and law should be discussed, and positive amendments should be made in the laws,” said Azizullah Shafiq, head of the pharmacists' union.
Meanwhile, some Kabul residents complained about the increase medicine's prices, saying they cannot easily find medicine with reasonable prices in the country.
“I went to three to four pharmacies to buy medicine in the Da Afghanan area of Kabul, it was too pricey and finally I bought the medicine costing 4400 Afs,” said Ziaullah, a resident of Kabul.
