According to the announcement made by the Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Ahmad Azam Abdul Rahman, the Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia for Afghanistan Affairs, and Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, the Deputy Secretary of the South and Central Asian Division of that country.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Hafez Zia Ahmad, Deputy Spokesman of the caretaker government's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, published a statement on his Twitter page on Sunday (July 17) and wrote that the parties in this meeting will discuss trade, economic relations, the banking sector, the education process and bilateral relations.
 
Mr. Muttaqi asked the Malaysian delegation to invest in Afghanistan because there is a good opportunity.
 
He also asked for the necessary cooperation in the field of Islamic banking, along with educational scholarships and capacity building.
 
The Malaysian delegation also said in this meeting that they will continue to interact with the Afghan government and will make full efforts to reach the demands and continue to seek progress and maintain sustainable cooperation with the Afghans.
 
It should be mentioned that Malaysia had already helped and cooperated with the previous government in the health and education sectors.
