Prime Minister of Yemen: We will never let the Red Sea become a lake of Israel
Abdul Aziz Bin Habtoor, the Prime Minister of the National Salvation Government of Yemen, has said that the statement of the Jeddah Summit is pure hypocrisy and that Saudi Arabia is an aggressor and can never be a mediator.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Abdul Aziz Bin Habtoor, the Prime Minister of the Yemeni government, emphasized that Bab al-Mandeb is an international crossing but part of Yemeni territory and we will never allow the Red Sea to become an Israeli lake.

He added: "In order to preserve the identity of the Red Sea, Yemen has the last word on al-Mandab and we stand strongly against the American conspiracy to turn it into a Zionist lake."

This Yemeni official also pointed to the recent visit of the US President to the region and said: US President Joe Biden's visit to the region shows America's weakness.

He also considered the statement of the Jeddah summit as pure hypocrisy and said that Saudi Arabia is an aggressor and has never been a mediator.

This Yemeni official pointed out that the aggressor Arab coalition was neither honest nor committed to the terms of the UN ceasefire.

These words of Bin Habtoor came after Joe Biden said during his meeting with Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, that the American peacekeeping forces will leave the islands of Tiran and Sanafir in the Red Sea by the end of this year.

Previously, knowledgeable sources told AFP that Israel has no objection to handing over the islands of Tiran and Sanafir in the Red Sea to Saudi Arabia, which is a precondition for the possible normalization of relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv.

Sovereignty over the islands of Tiran and Sanafir was transferred from Egypt to Saudi Arabia in 2017, and a multinational force has been stationed there since Israel and Egypt signed a normalization agreement in 1979.
