The head of the European Union Commission has asked the member states of this Union to prepare for the complete cut off of Russian gas. According to him; the economy in the European Union is intertwined and the gas crisis will affect all member countries in a special way.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the European Union Commission, said: "Russia currently supplies gas to 12 EU member states to a limited extent, or no gas at all."
 
He added that sooner or later Europe should prepare for the worst option, i.e. the complete stoppage of Russian gas supply.
 
The head of the European Union has asked countries that are less dependent on Russian gas to participate in energy saving efforts.
 
Von Der leyen said: "Even EU member states that do not depend on Russian gas cannot prevent the consequences of a possible stoppage of Russian gas completely."
 
He added that the economies in the European Union are intertwined and the gas crisis will affect all member countries in a special way.
 
According to reports, earlier Russia closed the gas flow of the Nord Stream pipeline to some European countries for 10 days.
