Council of Private Sector Unions: The Islamic Emirate should pay our debts
Officials of the Council of Unions of Construction, Road Construction, Commercial, Investment and Logistics Companies of the country say that the Islamic Emirate should pay their debts.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Council of Unions of Construction, Road Construction, Trade, Investment and Logistics Companies of Afghanistan held a press meeting yesterday Wednesday (July 27) in continuation of petitioning motions regarding their work problems and challenges.

The members of this council warned the government that if their debts are not paid, they will have to take their machinery out of the country and sell it.

Syed Javad Heydari; One of the members of this council said: Our bank accounts have been closed and the money for our projects has not been paid, and our personal money, which was the guarantee of supplies, has been blocked in private banks.

He also added that the government has written to private banks that the money of traders is frozen until further notice, and on the other hand, the letter of tax payment has come from the Ministry of Finance and they are insulting and humiliating us. With our money blocked, where can we pay our finance money?

He also added: We ask the government to take care of our problems and pay our money, otherwise we will have to take our machinery to neighboring countries and sell it because we have no other choice.

Heydari added: "If the government can't afford to pay our money, then they should eliminate the issue of taxes because we can no longer afford to pay taxes."

Stating that we are being insulted and humiliated in the security sphere today, he said: If the government does not take care of our problems, we will have to cancel our work permits and leave the country by taking out our machinery.

Dr. Abdullah Faizi; One of the members of this council also said: If the Ministry of Finance of the Islamic Emirate is not able to pay our money at the moment, they should pay attention to our proposals in the part of debt payment.

He stated: We have submitted a clear and reasonable proposal to the Ministry of Finance that 50% of our debts will be considered in the financial year 1401 and the other 50% in the financial year 1402.

Stating that there is no reason to block the money to guarantee our supplies in private banks, he said: If you are unable to pay the money, complete the documents of the projects so that we can get out of the doldrums.

He emphasized: With the payment of 60 billion afghanis, the field of work and employment in the society has been improved, and most of it is re-deposited to the accounts of the Ministry of Finance in various ways.

Meanwhile, Nasser Mohtasabzadeh; Another member of the country's private sector unions said: social welfare and economic growth require the growth of the private sector, which the government should pay serious attention to.

He also asked the international community not to associate political issues with economic issues because today the people of Afghanistan fled the country due to economic problems and sold their children.

It is worth mentioning that with the political and military developments in the country a year ago, the international community stopped funding development projects, which caused problems for private companies.
