30,000 people visit "Khwaje Iskander" and "Shefa" springs in Balkh in one month
The local officials of Shulgarh district of Balkh province say that in the last month, about 30,000 visitors from different areas of this province and neighboring provinces have traveled to Khwaja ISkander and Shefa springs in this district.
Afghan Vioce Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Shulgarh district of Balkh province has attracted the attention of a large number of tourists with two famous springs, "Khwaja Iskander" and "Shefa".
 
Mohammad Khan Fateh, the security commander of Shulgarh district, told Ava today, Sunday, July 31, 2022: With the warm weather in the last month, about 30,000 people have visited Khwaja Iskandar and Shefa springs in Shulgarh district.
 
He added that most of these visitors were from the city of Mazar-e-Sharif and different provinces of Afghanistan like Sarpol, Jawzjan, Faryab, Samangan, Baghlan and etcetera.
 
According to him, the number of visitors to these two springs in Shulgarh district is increasing every day, and more than a thousand people visit these two scenic areas with pleasant nature every day.
 
Shulgareh Police Commander added that security forces are stationed near these two springs, they provide security to the people and prevent the theft of visitors' belongings.
 
This is despite the fact that with the subsidence of war and conflicts in the country, the tourism industry has flourished in all provinces of the country, and only more than 40 thousand people visited Amir Dam during the days of Eid al-Adha this year.
