US chip law disrupts global semiconductor trade

China's Ministry of Commerce announced that the new chip law, which was recently approved by the US Congress, will disrupt the global semiconductor supply chain and global trade.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Ministry of Commerce of China announced in its statement that this country continues to monitor developments and the implementation of American law and takes appropriate measures to protect its rights.
 
On Thursday last week, the US House of Representatives approved a law to grant subsidies to the domestic semiconductor manufacturing industry. The purpose of this law is to empower the American industry to compete with Chinese chipmakers and other foreign manufacturers.
 
The US House of Representatives has actually approved a $52 billion budget for semiconductor production subsidies and a $24 billion tax credit for chip factories.
 
This is while the continuous shortage of chips has limited production in various industries such as automobile manufacturing, consumer electronic products, medical equipment, and technological weapons, and some manufacturers have also been forced to reduce their activities.
